This model is the front-driven sibling (hence the ‘F’ in its alternative name: Bremshey Orbit Explorer 19F) of the 16 and 19 inch rear driven versions. While the name doesn’t suggest a stride length, the specifications list this as being 19 inch. This is a mid-range model and is aimed at the enthusiast who exercises regularly; this is not to say that beginners will not derive a benefit from it though!
The solid front driven crosstrainer comes with the fairly standard 15-year frame warrantly and a generous two-year warranty on all other parts. The price includes vat, free shipping and a bonus gift of either an mp4 player or a protective floor mat.
This elliptical cross trainer includes a heart monitor, a user-friendly backlit LCD display, a console with 12 pre-programmed exercise profiles (from hills to fartlek to straight and level), a heart rate monitor receiver, an ergonomter indicating the exerciser’s work level, and an electronically activated magnetic break operated from the console itself.

Bremshey’s Explorer range is a step up from the entry-mid level ‘Control’ machines. The explorer range represents mid- to top-level for the home, the epitome of Bremshey’s ability to provide commercial-standard at home prices. This is an elliptical trainer for the enthusiast who refuses to compromise.
Running on standard mains power the Explorer requires no special cables or rooms – just a sturdy floor. The resistance is provided by electromagnetic means which provides very smooth acceleration and deceleration and also allows for a larger number of ‘gearings’ than would be possible using mechanical resistance. Other advantages of an electromagnetic resistance system include less noise, less moving (and fallible) parts and no requirement for grease or oil.
Bremshey’s committment to its machines is refreshing; so to its willingness to put its money where its mouth is. All machines have, as standard, a two-year parts and labour warranty for the entire machine as well as a 15-year warranty on the frame itself. This is not a machine that Bremshey expects you to break.
Features of the Explorer Crosstrainer designed to assist your exercise regime include 22 programmes or ‘profiles’ of differing workouts, a heart rate monitor (receiver only – strap not supplied), a user-friendly backlit LCD console recording speed, time, distance, energy consumption, training power, heart rate and RPM, and a console operated magnetic brake.

The Orbit Explorer is the (slightly more pricey) front driven version of the standard Orbit Explorer Crosstrainer 2008. This model boasts all the same features designed to make your exercise experience an enjoyable and productive one. This is the most expensive model in the Bremshey but still compares favourably — both in terms of price and build quality — with some of the lower-end commercial offerings from other companies.
As with teh rear-drive Orbit Explorer, this model boasts 22 pre-set programmes actived through a LCD backlit (colour) console to the front of the elliptical trainer. Also present are the heart rate monitor (receiver only — strap solid separately); time, speed, distance, RPM, energy consumption, and training power monitors.
Bremshey’s famous buld quality is supported by a two-year on-site warranty for all parts, while the frame is covered by a generous 15-year manufacturer’s warranty. You can be assured that this elliptical trainer isn’t going to fall apart easily.
Electromagnetic resistance and console-operated brakes give a smoother ride without damaging jerks and jolts; it also means no moving parts nor any oil or grease in the resistance mechanism.
